GOT YARNS!!!!!!!!!!

I got a package from the post office today from my Sea of Yarn swap partner Cheryl. She sent 12 skeins of yarns all in all. It was beyond my expectations and I just love everything she sent!!!!! I just love them all and I'll treasure everything she sent. She is indeed a precious gem..... :-))))))

There are 2 skeins each of Wool Bale in beige, royal and wine; 2 Moda Dea Wild in Tropical, 2 Lion Brand ribbon yarn in Carnival, 2 Peaches and Cream cotton yarn in lemon lime. Also she included some sea-themed goodies like a sea turtle metal bookthong, a bottle bag, a bag of seashells, a sticker from C'ville, a couple of sweet smelling tealights, and a diary with a beautiful butterfly on the cover.

I've started on a lacy scarf for my SP as well.....it's in orange ombre. I'll post a picture of it once it's finished. I'm thinking if I'll crochet some flowers for it or just add a beaded fringe......hmmmmmm......

Kathy's doily

I was surprised to get Kathy's doily so soon as it usually takes a month for mail from abroad to reach me. Inside the package was the most beautiful doily I have ever seen! I am completely awestruck!!!!! The stitches are so dainty and intricate and it looks like antique! I love it, love it, love it!!!!! I'm so lucky Kathy is my doily swap partner as I know her caliber and have always admired the beaded purses she makes and her Irish lace collars. She even named the doily after me and it is such a great honor. She sent me the first copy of the doily and I plan to try it as soon as I'm finished with other urgent to-do stuffs.

Flip flops and got mail!

Here's another pair of flip flops ordered from me. She wanted one in blue.

Got this beautiful rainbow boucle from my good friend Fiona.....also some patterns and a big bar of Reese peanut butter which was immediately claimed by Joshua and some pretty jewel cards. :-))))) I'm torn between making a seraphina shawl or another open mesh shawl with the boucle.

Beaded ID Lanyard

I just finished making these......the one on the left side is made with 6 pastel colors - pink, mint, sky blue, peach, yellow and lavender with clear beads so very sparkly! It's my favorite.....will be hard to part with it. The middle one is black which was so hard to make as I need good lighting to make it as it strains my eyes working with black. The one on the right is in monochromatic lavender/purple.

Got my scarves!!!!!!

I finally got my scarves from Dawn (Dawnsrays)! I can't believe it's been sitting in the post office since May 30. I never got a notice that there's a package waiting to be picked up. It was already marked return to sender! Luckily, the guy who knows me (as I get packages every month from C'ville! LOL) kept it for me and gave it to me this morning when I went there. Inside were 3 beautiful scarves. The white with pink one is like mohair(?) with curly yarn which I have never seen before though I haven't seen much yarn in my life as only acrylic yarns are found here. LOL
The tan one is like acrylic but softer than what is available here. It's done in open mesh stitch. Last but not the least is the variegated blue one like cotton yarn. It's done in a love knot stitch.....sooooo beautiful! I've done the love knot stitch before when I made a couple of rectangular shawls but have never seen one that's done in thicker yarn. So soft!!!!! I just love them all!!!!! Thank you so much, Dawn! It was all worth the wait!!!!!!

I made these beaded buttons for the recently concluded C'ville button swap......it's been 10(!) years since I last made them. It was fun making these again as it took me only a day to make all 10. I tried to match these to the personalities of my swap partners. :-)))))))
