Some finished bookmarkers

Made all these this afternoon while Joshua is taking his nap. It was raining outside so I stayed home and decided to make some bookmarkers.

Beaded Bottle Toppers

I've made these last year but was able to take pictures of them just now when I saw Fiona's post at C'ville requesting pictures as to what these look like. I made these to look ethnic not like the ones that can be found online. These are made using seed beads, shells, wooden beads, horn beads, etc.

MONACO RAYLON THREAD

I love this new Raylon thread from Monaco. Though it is not mercerised cotton but of rayon blend, it is soft nonetheless and has a nice sheen to it. Each cone is 200 gms or 760 yards.......more than enough to make a lacy triangular shawl like my spring has sprung shawl with enough left to make a doily. :-)))))))

Finished Shawl

I've just finished making this shawl......final width is 62" across. I just love this shawl and might make another one for a sister whose birthday is next month. I'll be sending this to Lynlee once I get her mailing address. :-))))))

Practice Doily

I made this pineapple doily from Leisure arts book on Pineapple Doilies. Thank you Julie! The name of this doily is Four-Square Pineapple Doily. It says in the description that it's the easiest one. I couldn't agree more as it works up really fast. It's been a year since I last made a doliy. I still haven't decided what to do with this but it was fun making it. I just might give this to my doily swap partner if she likes it or if not, give it to somebody else who would want it. :-D

cellphone cozy and shawl progress

I made this cozy for my sister who loves lavender color. It took me about 2 hours to finish this. I got the fun fur from a private swap with my good friend Fiona and I just love working with eyelash yarn!

A work in progress of the Spring Has Sprung Shawl.......I ran out of thread........need to buy more. I figure I'll need 2 more balls to finish this. I got 8 more rows to go to make it 60" across.

Some WIPs

I'm currently making this Spring has Sprung Shawl for a private swap with Lynlee over at Crochetville. It's Monaco B99 color crochet cotton size 10. It works up really fast even if it is in thread and I love its open lacy look. Here's a pic:

Also a scarf or belt using my flower motif with pearls. I used size 4mm pearls in 2 shades.....darker rose for the ombre and light pink for the solid Monaco B31 crochet cotton size 10 as well. This is for a friend in Crochetville which will be included in the package for the swap. She said in her email that she likes pink and purple for her outfits.

Anchor threads

I've just took a picture of these Anchor threads that my supplier gave me. I love Anchor as the thread is finer than Monaco.

Got my summer yarn swap partner!

I'm so excited! I finally got my yarn swap partner's name! It's Tween (madonna). She was my spring flower partner before and now she's my yarn partner again! I wonder if she likes thread and acrylic yarns.....I'm waiting for her reply in my email asking about it. This is a good chance for me to get some nice yarns other than acrylic although my dear friend Fiona has already sent me some nice yarns for swapping with thread/purse handles. I hope my DH doesn't read this as he will most probably ask what I am going to do with all the yarns. What does he know about a crocheter's desires? LOL!!!!

My First 3 Squares

Here are some squares I made for the comfortghan request posted by Maryann (Captain Hook) over at Crochetville. It was so much fun to make these and they were quite easy and fast to make. I used 100% acrylic worsted weight yarns. The gray one is from the yarn that Donna sent me as RAOK. I revised the edging around the red white and blue one as I found out too late that the ombre is sportsweight.
